Yap, drama yang merupakan remake dari drama Jepang berjudul Ai Nante Irane Yo menghadirkan dua selebiti papan atas Korea yang nama dan sepak terjangnya dalam dunia seni peran sudah tidak diragukan lagi kemampuannya. Mereka adalah Jo In Sung dan Song Hye Kyo yang juga membintangi Descendants of The Sun dan Encounter. Sudah banyak malang melintang dengan berbagai peran menjadikan keduanya berakting sangat memukau saat dipasangkan menjadi kekasih dalam drama ini. Drakorindo yang mengusung genre romantis dan melodrama ini disutradarai oleh Kim Kyu Tae dan penulis naskah Noh Hee Kyung, drama yang berjumlah 16 episode ini menceritakan tentang seorang pria penggila judi bernama Oh Soo diperankan oleh Jo In Sung yang menjalani hidupnya sebagai sampah masyarakat, karena sejak kecil ia ditinggal oleh orang tuanya di sebuah panti asuhan. Oh Soo yang terlibat konflik perhutangan dipertemukan dengan Oh Young diperankan oleh Song Hye Kyo seorang wanita pewaris perusahaan besar yang buta dan tidak pernah percaya dengan adanya cinta. Cerita dimulai ketika musim dingin beberapa tahun sebelumnya, dimana tampak seorang wanita yang meninggalkan bayinya di bawah sebuah pohon didepan panti asuhan. Bayi tersebut kemudian diberi nama Oh Soo yang berarti sebuah pohon yang merupakan tempat pertama kali ia ditemukan. Namun ia tumbuh menjadi pria ugal-ugalan dan sering berjudi, bahkan namanya terkenal di Cheongdamdong. Ia tinggal bersama dengan sahabatnya Jin Sung diperankan oleh Kim Bum dan sahabat satunya lagi yang juga bernama Oh Soo diperankan oleh Lee Jae Woo. Ternyata Oh Soo sahabatnya ini adalah anak dari Presdir PL Group yang berpisah dari ayah dan adik kandungnya Oh Young dikarenakan perceraian orangtuanya. Sementara itu di sebuah rumah besar yang merupakan kediaman keluarga Presid PL Group, Oh Young mendengar berita tentang keadaan perusahaan keluarganya. Ayah Oh Young tengah terbaring koma, dan karena sebagai anak satu-satunya di keluarga ini, tentu saja Oh Young akan mewarisi semua harta kekayaan orangtuanya. Oh Young dibesarkan oleh sekretaris sekaligus selingkuhan ayahnya dulu, Sekretaris Wang diperankan oleh Bae Jong ok. Walaupun cantik, namun karena tidak bisa melihat buta ia pun tumbuh menjadi gadis yang tertutup, keras, dingin dan tegar. Suatu hari Oh Young mendatangi rumah kakaknya Oh Soo setelah menerima surat. Tapi yang membuka pintu Oh Soo lain dan bukan kakaknya. Oh Soo meminta Oh Young untuk kembali jam 3 karena kakaknya sedang pergi. Oh Soo kemudian keluar dan mendapati Oh Young masih menunggu kakaknya. Dia menyerahkan kunci agar Oh Young masuk tapi ditolak. Oh Soo diminta untuk membacakan surat dan menyadari Oh Young tidak bisa melhat. Oh Soo kemudian menerima telepon bahwa dirinya sedang dalam pemburuan polisi atas tuduhan penggelapan uang yang sebenarnya dilakukan Jin So Ra diperankan oleh seo Hyo Rim mantan kekasihnya. Oh Soo lari menghindari kejaran polisi. Oh Soo berpapasan dengan Oh Soo yang lain lalu mengejarnya. Tapi naas karena Oh Soo kakak Oh Young tertabrak mobil dan tewas. Oh Soo tertangkap polisi dan dipenjara selama 1 tahun. Setelah bebas Oh Soo musuh dikejar karena utangnya. Secara kebetulan Oh Soo bertemu dengan pengacara Oh Young yang menanyakan tentang Oh Soo asli. Pada akhirnya Oh Soo menyamar sebagai saudara Oh Young agar terhindar dari kejaran hutang dan berencana menguasai harta warisan keluarga Oh Young. Namun seiring waktu berjalan dan semakin seringnya mereka bersama, hubungan Oh Soo dan Oh Young berkembang tidak sekedar hubungan saudara. Mengetahui bahwa Oh Soo jatuh cinta dengan wanita lain, Jin So Ra lantas membeberkan semua kebohongan dan penyamaran Oh Soo berikut motif dibalik rencana tersebut bahkan memberi tahu Oh Young bahwa saudara kandungnya Oh Soo yang selama ini ia kira bersamanya telah meninggal dunia. I mean, it was a typical love story, predictable at most points although there were some shockers thrown in too. What I'm actually talking about is the amazing cinematography and the beautiful locales where this was shot. Everything was simply breath-taking from the wardrobe to the snowy mountains. Another plus point was the way Oh Soo's character was played out. I liked all the characters and everyone acted well but it was Oh Soo who made me cry and relieved and sad and sympathetic and at times, even gave me goosebumps. It was nice seeing Song Hye Kyo after the long gap and she was here usual best. Eun Ji and Kim Bum made a very cute couple. Kim Bum has become one of my all time favorite side-kicks. As for Eun ji, I really want to see her in another center role now. I mean, she was great in this but she deserves more lead roles. Oh Soo and Oh Young both play their roles well as 'broken' people in very different worlds that are equally scary. The secondary couple is just very cute. The bromance/brotherhood between Oh Soo and Jin Sung is really sweet, though I ended up getting mad at/scared for Jin Sung through a couple of his misguided choices due to 'extreme loyalty.' Song Hye Ko does an admirable job feigning blindness. Jo In Sung looks amazing in fashions that seemed to be lifted right out of American gangster movies based in the 20's and 30's. Besides the fact that he definitely looks the part of an attractive womanize, the man can also act. I spent pretty much all of the drama heavily sympathizing with and rooting for him, even while realizing what he was doing was highly questionable/just plain wrong. Kim Tae Woo was awesome as Moo Cheol. I definitely felt all sorts of emotions towards him as his story progressed. I just thought the story was beautifully acted and filmed.
